Another seductive portrait of a young woman created and printed by Tony McLean - a UK based photographer noted for his large-format camera work and experiments with “alternative” darkroom processes. This image is a Platinum / Palladium “alternative” print made from an enlarged negative exposed (under UV light) in contact with a sensitised solution hand coated onto a paper base... this is a very stable process and is archival for hundreds of years. The woman’s face and full head of hair is particularly striking.
The image size is approximately 6.75 x 8.75 inches (17 x 22 cms) on 10 x 12 (25 x 30 cms) Arches Platine water-colour paper... signed with notes on the reverse and dated 1996.
Note that the on-screen image has less visible detail, slightly different contrast, colour tone and overall sharpness compared to the real photograph. However, if you like the on-screen image you will love the actual signed photograph framed on your wall.
