I own a Leitz Focomat 1A that is in good shape. Any idea what it might be worth?

Hi Ed, Long time no see! Last saw you at Oulton Park race circuit in Cheshire about 1970/71 when you were just getting stated. Bet you wish you had digital then; I recall you shot well over ten rolls at one meeting.

Greetings Ed! Love the site, there is so much of it too so I guess I'll have to start a daily nibble at it! Hope you are both well(ish) Cheers

Mornin' Mart... which makes me think I'll have to re-start my daily nibbling away at the lengthy list of subjects still waiting to be knocked into shape and uploaded! Ed.

Hi Ed, You probably don't remember me we met in Malmesbury in the early eighties but as a young lad of 16 or 17, you inspired me into a career in photography. I bought my first serious camera, a Nikon F3 from you and if I'm not mistaken, I may have been stood with you when you captured the image, on this site,of Malmesbury abbey. If I remember correctly with a field view camera (can't remember the model). Well after working for other companies, I now, with my wife run a successful social photography business in Swindon (www.martinbennett.biz). I'd just like to say thanks for showing me the light. I'd love to catch up or just hear from you. Wishing you all the best.

Kindest regards

Martin Bennett

Hi Ed Great to find you again and I hope that you are both keeping well. I often sit with a glass of the amber falling down water and think about our association and stimulating telephone conversations. Good to see you are writing again. At some point it would be good to talk. Please give Trish the Geordie hug and all the best to you my friend.

Hi Again - c'est Moi! still here in France ..

Hmmm .. how to let you have my email address without disclosing it to the whole world .. not sure .. Not that the world has the slightest interest in me of course .. Why are we (am I) so inately cautious?

But I do hope that you and your wife are well and happy and that you are enjoying life in france - Must say we had three days without any electricity last week .. It was soooo cold and dark and quiet .. When the power came back on I was eternally grateful to EDF!

Best wishes,

Shuna

Salut Shuna... send me an E at ed.buziak@wanadoo.fr if you want to. Where are you? In the Dordogne? Hey... found a postcard with a "warning" message from you (circa 1982) the other day... and one of those tiny hand painted visiting cards for "silk flowers". Anyway, wrap up well this week... more snow is coming... will check back here in about a week!

Bisous a plus... Ed X

Hello Mr Buziak!

Just to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas, wherever you are! - I am house hunting in beautiful South Western France - Wish I'd come to France years ago .. feet of clay , too cautious .. Glad to be here now.

Keep up the wonderful work.

A bientot

Salut Shuna,

Well... a blast from the past, as they say... and a very pleasant one... like today with beautiful sunshine! Where are you? In la belle France now? Perhaps an e-mail would be nice... or maybe not a good idea? However, I'll see you one day... no doubt :-)

BTW : Remember this photo I took of you around 25 years ago...

sorry to bother you with something potentially unpleasant (i don't like "stirring the soup" so to speak), but i think if i were in your shoes, i'd want someone to tell me....

Dear concerned admirer (interesting - mmmmm!)... I have notified the admin of Swap-Bot that someone has lifted and used my images without permission... and that it is theft, can harm my sales of stock images at Alamy.com, etc, etc. Hopefully someone will receive a smacked wrist... before a stack of writs are received!
Many thanks... bisous a toi, Ed X

Hi Ed Long time since the heady days of Malmesbury. When I moved to live in Portugal, Sue gave me your three beautiful black and whites of Malemsbury Abbey, which I treasure on my walls in my little portuguese cottage. Glad to see you are still doing well.

Well well well, Ed Buziak eh ?, who'd have thought I'd find you by accident when searching for Flying Monk stuff on Google ?.

I don't know if you remember me, but I am the eldest son of John and Marilyn Somers from the Flying Monk. It was a fantastic memory jolt to see your name on the web, and to see some of your amazing work.

I would love to catch up with you for a chin wag at some point, and I know for sure that Mum and Dad would love to hear how you're doing.

Please get in touch, it would be great to see you again.

Cheers

Andrew (still in Malmesbury)

Hi I came across your site by accident and loved looking at the images. Good to hear you are still involved in photography even if you do sometimes use digital cameras.

I can't get away from them either I'm afraid and have just sold loads of (real) stuff to pay for a D3. I've kept the pentax and Linhof, but it takes such an age to use them, process, print etc...

Regards John Russell
