All the images offered for sale on this site by various photographers are from around the world have been hand-made using “traditional” silver or iron-based processes... in other words, they are not digital ink-jet or dye-sublimation prints. Every print is a unique translation from the negative by the photographer / printer... in other words, the same negative printed on two different occasions will probably have slight perceptible differences - that is the nature of a painstakingly made hand-crafted print compared to an ink-jet print reproduced any number of times in the future from a digital file at the click of a button. However, although that statement is a simplification of the reality, there is a strong current of traditional photographic practice going on in today’s seemingly completely digital world of imaging.

All images made and hand-printed by Ed Buziak are selected from his private work produced during the past 30+ years in the profession. Some have previously been purchased for collections, several have been exhibited and all have been published in a variety of books, magazines, journals and other print media around the world. A large number of his other images are regularly written about on his Photos + Artwork weblog (numbering over 200 articles) and new prints will appear here regularly.

Other images are selected from Ed Buziak’s private photo collection - largely assembled when he published the specialist photographic magazines “Darkroom User” and “Camera & Darkroom” in the UK... these images are therefore one-offs, unless the photographer concerned can be persuaded to make another print.

Note: All the images viewed on-screen have less visible detail and slightly different contrast, colour tone and lack overall sharpness compared to the real photograph. However, if you like the on-screen image you will love the actual signed photograph framed on your wall.

Unless otherwise stated, individual prints are supplied un-mounted and packed between multiple layers of cardboard for secure airmail delivery to most countries in the world.
